I just opened an account with Account Now a few weeks ago and it has been a nightmare. I had my paycheck direct deposited and then they never sent my card. After 17 days and multiple calls I reported the card stolen. It came the next day but was useless. I tried to pay my bills by ACH but Account Now declined payment even though I have over $2000 in my account. I asked them to overnight a new card but they refused to do that too. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB. Everybody is correct about not being able to get through to customer service. Either the lines are busy or they send you in a circle on the phone menu and you never get to talk to anyone. I called the corporate office and the receptionist admitted that they don't have enough customer service representatives to handle all the calls. My daughter had her tax return put on a Turbotax prepaid debit and got her money in one week and has had not problems using the card.

I HAVE HAD MY CARD FOR OVER A YEAR. LAST YEAR MY INCOME TAX RETURN WAS DIRECT DEPOSITED ON MY CARD THIS YEAR I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MY TAX RETURN AND TODAY WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON MY CARD ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN I CALL TO CHECK THE BALANCE IT SAYS MY CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN. I HAVE MY CARD AND I HAVE NEVER REPORTED IT LOST OR STOLEN.

I and several of my associates had a similar experience. We openned the card on line, gave all of our personal info; inspite of it all we were told additional info was required. We sent a copy of our ID's, social security cards, tax info, medical cards, and in some instances change of address cards. Our IRS refunds were deposited, however the accounts were never opened! We were told by the Account One Representative(s) that the refund was being returned to the IRS. The IRS has no record of any returned deposits. The representatives are rude and arragant and I believe they have misused the funds and their athority as an authorized agents. If I don't recieve an aknowledgement from the IRS confirming the return of my deposit within the next day or two, I am going to turn all concerns over to my lawyer and begin a class action suit. Anyone in agreement with similar issues are welcome to join. Feel free to stay in touch.

Follow up: After one week of waiting,accountnow called to tell me that my account had been permanant closed and my refund had been sent back to the IRS. IRS was very helpful in helping me find my check,but a few days later,accountnow called again saying my acount had been reopened. Today,two days later,my account is closed again. I cannot even call them because I only get an automated response and then disconnected. They have my money and I have no way of even finding out why. I urge everyone to file a complaint with the BBB. I did, and have already received a response. Accountnow is nothing but trouble. They will steal your money.

Hello, My Girlfriend ,who i have cliamed on my taxes for the last 2 years has an Accountnow card , and when we saw that we could get our taxes return put on the card we thought it a great ideal ...it was not ...we just tryed to check our balance ...(at this point we have not received our return)..and they tell us that the account has been suppened due to tax refund deposit activity ...and at the bottom of this page is the line ....If we receive incomplete documentation or if you have had tax deposits in names other than your own, we will be unable to re-open your account.....there was nothing on the webpage that told us about getting our money put on the card that said anything about that...however i just want to let everyone know ..they have one chance to fix this ...beforei call them in the morning to see if they will fix this ..i am calling a lawyer ..i will sue them ..i will lose the apt that my family of 4 (my girlfriend , my 18mnth old and my 8 mnth old , and myself ) was to move into so we could move outta her parents house ....but i will sue them and i will win ..because they have no right to do this ..... i also had my refund put on this card and used it a couple of times now i cant get my cash and its been 2 weekssince i fax over everything. now i call and the syteme is down and i tried logging in and the page gose blank DONT USE THIS CARD ITS A SCAM

So me and my wife got our taxes sent to accountnow.com and now they are holding our funds. sent them all neccessary documents. yet still nothing. No money. No calls. Are they robbing us. Those thieving basterds will burn in hell for this. If I have to, I'll drive to San Ramone CA to get some. Thieven Cowards

*I recieved an account now card in the mail, i never gave my name address or anything to them, somehow they got my info, mailed me a preactivated card and said i have $10 available, i knew this had to b a scam so i cut up the card and searched reviews, an appearantly they r a definite scam company*Thanx 4 yur reviews evry1! BEAWARE! DONT GIVE YOUR $ TO ACCOUNT NOW!*

I have never had a cridit card befor,so i google for credit card for no credit and i got Account Now.I fill out the form and i recieved a pre paid card.I wont know if they are real or scam.

I am so confused as to why people continue to have their tax refunds deposited to Account Now and dont kow why they have to fax additional information. Let me explain simply put FRAUD FRAUD. Dont you understand that alot of people open up fraud accounts then do commit fraud with the IRS and then direct deposit into a AccountNow visa cmon people this is 2010. When I went to do my taxes they asked me how would I like to recive my money I told them CHECK. I then went to Western UNION cahsed it with a fee and then put the cash on my card. OK OK your saying to yourself u did not want to pay the fee. Let me answer that. The fee was $48.00 but the amount of my refunnd was 4,980.00 so after they cashed my check I recieved $4932.00...Ummm then I made two deposits to my debit cards. and enjoyed a trip to Jamaica. Cmon folks think through things before acting on them. Peace Shawn
