Overall: -6 Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints Being a medical professional with a substance problem it was natural that I was funneled into AA. Being around the "fellowship" of diseased doctors, pharmacists and nurses for almost 20 yrs my life was miserable, After graduating from Passages nearly a year ago I've been completely sober. More than that I'm happy, peasceful and productive working around drugs daily without a thought of getting off the path. Prentiss is a businessman and he's also a darn good philopher. The experience changed my life but I was ready for a change.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints Tsk tsk tsk Stephen. You don't have to answer this to anyone but yourself, however, do you overeat? You are addicted to food. Do you like your coke or pepsi? You, my dear, are a caffiene addict. How about cigarettes? Like them? Cigars? Snuff? You just might be addicted to tobacco/nicotine. How dare any one of us here on earth presume to be PERFECT. Can't recall personally witnessing ANYONE walk on water, unless, of course, you Stephen have accomplished that in which case I ask you this: are you JESUS CHRIST? Let's not be so judgemental. We all have our "cryptonites" and it is not for us to judge. I prefer to pray, there is power in prayer. A support group might not be such a bad idea either. That is what is wrong with the world today, too many are mean to their fellow man. And Stephen, did I forget to say GOD BLESS?

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints I went to Passages some 3 plus years ago for 90 days and grateful to say that I am still sober. The therapy was first-rate and I couldn't have done it without the love, care, support, and genius of the entire Passages staff and it's philosophy. The doctor's comments sound like sour grapes, because Merriam Webster defines a cure as:
Definition of CURE
1
a : spiritual charge : care
b : pastoral charge of a parish
2
a : recovery or relief from a disease
b : something (as a drug or treatment) that cures a disease
c : a course or period of treatment
d : spa 1
3
: a complete or permanent solution or remedy
4
: a process or method of curing

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints Whoever said AA works for the intellectually inferior has no concept of how AA works unless doctors, lawyers, professors and scientists can be considered intellectually inferior.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints I am on step number 4 from Passages Malibu. I am excited and looking forward to completing all the steps. Gene my friend has really helped me through all of this. Mashed Potatoes are amazing.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints I have been self medicating with illicit drugs and alcohol to alleviate symptoms associated with bipolar disorder for 20 yrs. After reading and understanding "The Alcoholism and Addiction Cure" by Passages founder Chris Prentiss I have been sober for 2 yrs. AA works for many people, but didn't work for me. I attended well over a hundred meetings and AA always felt cult-like to me, especially put off by how AA ends typical meetings by the circular joining of hands and reciting the Lord's prayer and the "sharing" grand standers.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints No one can be treated unless they are ready to honestly be treated. Addicts are more than likely to use again. Its just life and it happens. I am an addict. I have never been to a "REHAB" but I am in rehab. I quit using and I used again. But being without for a period of time and using made me realize how much I HATE USING! Its a matter of YOU NOT WANTING IT! We are strong! And we can do it together. Dont blame a book or people not helping you to quit if you are not ready. I love you all and you can do it!

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints Well, AA isn't for everyone & not everyone is for AA. I found AA & Al Anon helped me greatly. Behavior Modification counseling, 12 Steps in several programs & learning to do things differently. I had a sister commit suicide & I really wished her to be well. She found that killing herself was best for her. I found AA & Al Anon to be best for me. There is no cure!!!! I'm amazed anyone would say there is a "cure" for addiction & alcoholism ;) I'm good w/ being an alcoholic. I'm good w/ not picking up a drink.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints I am not familar with Passagesmalibu but i have been dry for almost 8 years and it took me a long time and a lot of false starts before i finally was ready.I tried the AA but always came out depressed. I believe it is like the old saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. The best of luck to all the recovering alcoholics Jack

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints I just saw the commercial and am reading the comments. guys, I have been sober for over 5 yrs and it is all due to a 12 step program that has been around for a long time and not this fraud passages malibu. Addiction is a disease and illness of the mind, body and soul. There is hope so look in your yellow pages and find the support group. The only way to get back on your feet is to get a big support group and go to meetings and there is a big blue book that will help. Please take it from someone like me who was almost dead and is living happy and healthy. Good luck to you all and best wishes.
