I opened a prepaid visa checking account with accountnow earlier this year. In mid-October I was scammed by an online company (wavee.com), that charged $179 to my account. I did not know I was making a purchase, just verifying identity and payment method. I called accountnow the same day. I was told that until the charge was out of "pending" status, they could do nothing. After a few minutes of talking, the representative said he would transfer my call to someone who could cancel the transaction before it was out of "pending". That person talked to me for some time, gave me hope, then told me to call back in two weeks. In two weeks I called back. Accountnow had no record of my previous complaint. This time the customer service rep told me that I was definitely scammed, and that in 6-8 weeks I would see my money in my account. In 30 days I called again to check on the status of my claim. Now I am told that wavee.com may not have to give back the money, and it will be December when they decide wether or not to give me my money back. I was angry. I am a disabled single-mother, and I really need that money. The representative refused to give me her last name, her supervisors full name, her direct line number, or even the name of the owner of Accountnow. I intend to take this matter to my senator tomorrow. Two and a half months is an inexcusably long time to resolve this issue.

account now is the biggest scam in the world!!!!! Unfortunatley they prey upon individuals that have issues obtaining bank accounts, credit cards, or some way of being able to purchase item online. Before I saw this site I had had 400 dollars deposited into my account and it doesnt show anywhere that there is a deposit pending, and they make sure to make it impossible for you to reach a representative for you to actually speak to, that they get away with it like nothing ever happened. The perfect scam for innocent people who are in need of money for there families and the holidays. DO NOT USE ACCOUNT NOW !!!!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND THEIVES AND WITHOUT CUSTOMERS THEY CAN NO LONGER CONTINUE TO STAY IN BUSSINESS!!!!!

DONT USE THIS CARD. It's stupid. It's not a loan. You just take your hard earned money, and put it on the card...also, you have to PAY them for using the card. SCAM. Just use the card issued by your bank.

These guys are a bunch of crooks I needed to make an emergency $100. payment so I thought I would use this stupid card that I had never used . After I made my deposit I found that they took all my money and said it was for back monthly charges of 9.95 per month .What a rippoff . I would not open anything with these sorry asses

ok, i deposit 116.24 on 12/4/10...pay for visa transaction 12/6, for $58.25...make 3 phone calls to check balance at .50 cents each (1.50)...4.95 for monthly upkeep for them to do nothing...here's my problem...I have a balance right now of $37.90...U DO THE MATH!!! I am missing $38.85....of MY MONEY. I called this morning 3 times and talked to 2 customer service girls (not english) and an non english and obviously understood supervisor...All they did was repeat what I already knew I did....OK WHERE'S MY $38.85? NO ONE CAN HELP ME THERE....I will no longer be using any debit card from any company as I have tried two within the last 3 months, and both have screwed me out of MY own hard-earned money....I am better off cashing my money, and keeping every single cent...why pay someone else for doing nothing and for no customer service, no help, no assistance, no nothing...I have had account now in the past hence the reason I thought after 2 years of trying them again...well, here we go...I'm totally aggrevated and of course that supervisor was ignorant to the fact I had already spent half hour of my time trying to get my own money back from people who don't even understand my language, and refuse to call me back when things are figured out on their end...ABSOLUTELY STUPID AND UNSATISFIED.... these people are thieves they dip into your account and take money i have had several transactions made by them stating there monthly fees and fees added due to adding money to your account 40 dollars for a monthly fee really?!

Someone opened an account and electronically filed a tax return for 2009 using my personal information with Account Now. The thief was able to close the account to zero balance and now I am trying to gather information and dispute to the IRS that the account was open without my authorization. I have been getting the run around having to send multiple affidavits and documentation resulting in the response from the IRS is that they deposited the money into the Account Now account under my name. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I need help... Thank you in advance!

I have over $200.00 missing from my account. I ususally withdraw my money as soon as my direct deposit goes in. After leaving my money in for a few days and did a couple transactions, my card declined and my online access shows no transaction history and my phone inquirey tells me there are no transactions; as if my account does not exist in the sense it gives me no information about my account. I can't speak with anyone for another two days because no one answers their phones except Monday thru Friday. I am so screwe out of my own hard earned money. Now I can't make my car payment.

I AM A TAX PREPARER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CANT PUT FUNDS IN MY ACCOUNT FOR WHICH MY NAME IS NOT A PART OF...WELL U SHOULD SAY THAT ON THE WEBSITE - EVEN STILL MY REFUND WAS SUPPOSED TO HIT TODAY - I CALL AND MY ACCOUNT IS CLOSED HOWEVER THE TWIST 2 IT IS..TWO OTHER PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN DEPOSITS MADE INTO THEIR ACCOUNT FROM IRS FOR WHICH THE REFUNDS DIDNT HAVE THE CARD HOLDERS NAME ON IT EITHER SO YES..IM DOWN FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ALL THE WAY AGAINST THESE PHUCK TARDS...HOW DO WE START ONE?
