Overall: -6 Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints To their credit Chris and Pax have worked hard developing a program that is clearly effective for some people. The problem is that no one treatment style is effective for everyone. Each client is unique and when given the opportunity to recover they must each choose recovery over addiction for themselves.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints I see a lot of people upset with Passages from the reviews. What seems to be the problem? Is it because they dont go to AA?

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints Reading these comments it's as if I worked at a completely different location. I was there in their very early years, 2001-2004ish. The therapists were all really great and genuinely wanted to help people and their families, Chris seemed caring and sweet... Another odd thing reading these is... while I worked there, we went to AA and NA meetings as part of treatment. It's odd that all of these testimonials claim that Passages is anti-AA. They also used to use the term "self-medicating" and treat the underlying causes of addiction. Almost all of these posts say something different, it is SO weird!
I truly hope that his book hasn't changed Chris. He was not the person described in these posts.
Passages works for some people (at least it did then), but I can't think of anything in the world that is perfect for 100% of people. No matter how you get there, I hope you all get your desired results.

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints It's easy to attack AA. As an organization They have no opinion on outside issues and they do not promote themselves. Lots of folks have made money attacking Passage.. Rational Recovery...Moderate Recovery...Have at it. Claim or say anything you wish by opposing AA. I got Sober for the cost of a Big Book lots of support from the fellowship and a buck or two a meeting. In over 23 years of sobriety The amount of money I've donated still does not equal a two week stay at Passages. AA makes no claim as a cure all... AA even promotes the idea of hospitalization for detox and or treatment. Stooping Drinking is easy. Living Sober is not. Most folks who are real Drunks and Drug Addicts know this. I am a 27 year Malibu Resident and know Chris and Pax personally. All I can say is Caveat Emptor.Hell a famous Malibu Restaurant is right across the street and they served drinks to dozens of Passage "Patients" over the years. They are some of their best customers. So come help out the local Malibu Economy. Perhaps before you really hit bottom you need to spend all your money LOL However make no mistake... You can't buy Recovery...no matter how much money you spend. I sponsor one dude in AA who spent several hundred thousand dollars for a prolonged stay as passages. Every time he says he left he was drunk and high within days. That all changed when he walked into his first AA meeting. Medical Detox from Drugs and Alcohol normally takes only 7 to 10 days and costs anywhere from three to t

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! THE OWNER AND HIS SON ARE PERVERTS AND SCAM ARTISTS. I WENT THROUGH THERE AND ADVISE ANYONE THAT IS THINKING ABOUT GOING OR SENDING SOMEONE THEY LOVE TO LOOK AROUND. THERE ARE TREATMENT CENTERS ALL OVER THE PLACE THAT FOCUS ON COGNITIVE BEHAVIIOR AND AA IS EITHER NON EXISTENT OR OPTIONAL. GO AND TAKE A LOOK AT THE STAFF THEY ARE ALL WOMEN WHO LOOK LIKE PAMELA ANDERSON. THAT RIGHT THERE SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING. THEY HAVE BEEN SUED VARIOUS TIMES.
BUYER BEWARE! WITH ALL THE TREATMENT CENTERS IN MALIBU ALONE, ALL THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IS A WAY TO DIFFERENTIATE THEMSELVES FROM THE REST BY TALKING ABOUT A "CURE". THIS IS A LOAD OF BS AND A WAY TO MAKE MONEY!!

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints It's amazing to watch the advertisement of Passages Treament facility, offering a cure for alcoholism and addiction. Personally if there were a cure for the addiction and than it would have to be physical, because when i drink i unltimately return to my cocaine once it that is set off there is no return to it without abstinence. Furhtermore 12 steps programs offer the remedy, how? by empowering others to deal with the real issue that makes them powerless over their own unmanageability. Check this out as long as the patient believes he is cured he will return by to what makes them feel good when under stress, unless o he or she has a complete pschyic change, its a life-long process, Passages is a money hoax and its sad because so many people suffer from alcoholism/ addiction, and what we truly desire is the power to drink and use with impunity. Stop playing with lives1

Passagesmalibu com customers & affiliates reviews, comments, possible complaints There are many cures to addiction and certain ways may work better for others. But I am an alumni of Passages and it did work for me at the age of 21! It has really changed my life and I couldn't be more grateful. I have accomplished so many things since my sobriety that seemed impossible under the influence of drugs. Relationships with my family and friends have improved better than I ever expected. Days can go by and I will forget I ever used drugs. I have nothing against any path towards sobriety wether it be 12 step programs or religion, the point is getting the help. If you want it bad enough you can become and maintain sobriety! I would spend a million dollars if thats what it took to become sober because what good is money if you die or lose a loved one tomorrow from drugs or alcohol. Don't put a cost on your life and I recommend Passages as a path to sobriety.
