My story is similar. AccountNow first placed my account on hold when my income tax came and held my income tax on hold for more that a month. Then they found that someone transferred some money into their AccountNow account for over $1400 of which they claim all but $799 was used and told me several times they would send that amount to me and I could take further action against the person. Well I have not seen the $799 yet. As a matter of fact they got my money sitting in the other persons account. I call and call. Took action, provided documentation and still nothing. This is going on 3 months and they still have my money. Where do I go and who do I talk to?

You guys at AccountNow screwed up big time. About a month ago I received an email saying that if I didn't comply with a second cardholder verification request that my account would be closed. I sent all the requested information and was told by someone in the "risk department" that not all of my fax pages were received, i.e. someone in the "fax department" thought it would be really f**king funny to throw out some of the fax pages that I sent. What's "funny" about this is that I have read other people's testimonials about AccountNow online and there are tons of other people who have experienced the exact same thing! Who the f**k loses faxes these days? To top it off, it has been like 3 weeks since I faxed the requested documents, and nobody at AccountNow contacted me or anything to tell me that my account was still in danger of being closed or suspended. It was up to ME to call, talk to 6 or 7 different people, get routed through customer service like 3 times and on and on and on. Stop f**king with people's lives and livelihood. When you threaten somebody with closing their account, at least be professional about it. Your company knows that it can treat people this way because the people that use your services often times don't have any other alternative. I was more than happy with AccountNow up until a month ago. Now that I see how you treat your customers I cannot recommend your company or its services to anyone!

DON'T DO IT! Listen, I waited for six months to get my $25 enrollment, they said I asked for it too long! Had to go to the BBB. Has a hole put on the card for using it at the pump $100, took 10 days to get my money, used my card at a hotel that gave me the money back the next day...Account now said it would be two weeks before I would get my money!! from the 15th to the 29th exactly! Called the hotel, they sent a faxed letter with all info as requested on a Tues this is Thurs and I am still waiting!! The hotel said 3-5 days it should be on my card...FROM THE 15TH THIS IS DAY 13!!! 13!!! PLEASE FOLKS - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! All the customer service reps barely speak English and it's a hassle!! Take it from one who knows!~

THIS COMPANY SUCKS BALLS .... THEY FROZE MY ACCOUNT NOW CARD FOR WHAT THEY SAID WERE REASONS THAT DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, SO AND AFTER FAXING IN THE REQUEST DOCUMENTATION, THEY STILL HAVE NOT RETURNED THE $499... REMAINING IN THE ACCOUNT.. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE FDIC AND BBB AND CONTACTING THE NBC NIGHTLY NEWS TO REPORT THEIR FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOR. ALSO AFTER SOME RESEARCH TO FIND THEIR PARENT COMPANY AND SUBSIDIARIES... I NOTICE THEY ARE NOT REGISTERED WITH DUNN & BRADSTREET... HMMMM HERE WE GO WITH ANOTHER PONZY SCAM... FROM THE HARD WORKING AMERICAN...RIDICULOUS... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND PLEASE GET ALL OF YOUR MONEY OFF THIS CARD ASAP.!!!

I had a account with accountnow and never had a problem with them until now. On February 16,2011 my income tax check was deposited into my account, which was also done last year without a problem. However, this year they froze my account and said they needed a copy of my SS card, ID and proof of address faxed to them, which I did only to have them tell me they closed my account and sent money back to the IRS. Contacted the IRS and they said the money was never returned. IRS did a trace and said it would be 6 weeks before they could go any further. I called METABANK in Souix Falls SD and they said that they let Accountnow use thier routing number and that they would call me in 24hrs. It has been 2 weeks and no call. Accountnows customer service is extremely rude and laugh at you. They have blocked my account, and I can't even look at my account on line. I have no idea what they have done with my money. There was over 8,000.00 in my account and they will not release it to the IRS or open my account so I can get my money out. My next step is to file a lawsuit against them and also Metabank bacause I feel they are liable also. I am also going to contact BBB concerning this.This has been going on for nearly 4 months. Anyone out there that is thinking about getting this card please think twice. I thought it was ok because of the Metabank logo and I believe Metabank is the bank that Jackson Hewitt uses for thier rapid refund program. I think they are all crooks.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON A CREDIT SINCE DECEMBER 31ST 2010 FOR 490.00 FROM DIRECTBUY COLUMBIA SC. I WAS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR THE SATE OF COLUMBIA SOUTH CAROLINA AND PROVED THAT TO ACCOUNTNOW, THEY GIVE YOU THIS BULL SING AND DANCE I HAVE A REGULAR ACCOUNT WITH A NORMAL BANK. IF YOU HAVE ISSUES LIKE THIS CONTACT THE OCC - OFFICER OF CONTROLLED CURRENCY AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ASAP! THEY DISGUST ME!!!

You are right about there customer service reps. They are possibly the rudest people I have ever dealt with. And they are very difficult to contact. Other than that, I haven't had any difficulties with my account, but I live on a disability pension that is very tiny compared to the amounts you all are describing.

There is a company on Craigslist that is offering a job for mail room clerk. They make their response email look very good and ask that you go sign up for an Account Now account. After responding to the email with the date that I could make an interview, I still haven't heard back from them on their location. So I guess I've been had...not only no job, but now I'm concerned about someone opening other accounts in my name and all kinda of stuff.

totally agree there is no one ever you can talk to they need to close this card company out. when you file a dispute on money they resrtict your card without notifying you they just take the word of the other person . had a family member get up and move after 3 years of caring for them with notorised paper work to handle there finances and call and say illegal action was done on there account and know our account suffers and we had to go else where to bank...they could not even look and see transactions where made regular the same for 3 years ...dah it was obvisious they where lying...but the inocent party suffers for 30 to 90 days...we will never bank with them again
