Lifetime cookies? Baloney! I went to his site and signed up as an affiliate. I downloaded his ebooks that were mostly a paraphrase of his blog and his squeeze page. I clicked the links and checked the cookies That were set in my browser. This is a good way to give your list away. Three times as many links were in them to his blog. His blog had many many links in it to his sales pages. The problem with this is that The cookies he handed out were session cookies. A SESSION IS COOKIE NEVER SAVED IN THE BROWSER AFTER IT IS CLOSED. This means that if the potential customer you referred to his site ever closes his browser and decides to return later via a bookmark or in response to a sign up on his squeeze page your hard work accumulating your list just helps build his list and your cookie is gone, because it was only a session cookie, so you will not get credit for the sale. Rarely are sales made from a first contact so it is very likely the sales will be made from his link. These practices are very predatory and you and you customers will be the prey. The system in use is Amember pro. It allows one to configure their own Affiliate system. It is entirely under his control.
