Stellar Phonex Software is JUNK!!! I had some files deleted from an external hard drive by mistake. I downloaded the free trial version and it did a scan of the 500mb disk - 28 hours later it had "found" the files, but in order to do anything I had to pay $99 to recover my files. After running the software is said it recovered the files, but NONE of them were useable. Nothing had been done to the disk following the deletion, there should have been no reason the files were not recovered. Immediately after finding out I could not use the files, I tried to call their 24/7 support line - NEVER spoke to anyone but a machine. I emailed them and three days later received my first email. It was then back and fourth waiting two to three days to get a response from them, but if I didn't respond within one day I was getting emails asking where the information was they requested. - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, Customer Service STINKS, Product DOESN'T Work!

Stellar Info support extermly poor. Appliaction did not work as advertised. Afterpurchasing and activation the application would not save the mail box as a pst. The applcaition appears to be defective. 600.00 us spent on the phoenix edb recovery tool wasted.

I purchased version 4 of Mac Data recovery in 2009. It worked so-so. Now my drive crashed and I wanted to use 4.1 download form their site - me serial number apparently is not good enough. Not one link on their site for upgrade charge - which I was ready to pay - not one word. The Live Chat feature is a scam, as it shows "Online Available" but when Skype opens up the user is "unavailable." The phone support is useless, regardless it is pre-sales or after sales. 20 minutes on hold, with outgoing message changing your position in line with INCREASING NUMBERS! Redial. Waiting for another 20 min on speakerphone - drop out. Called again to pre-sales, may be they will like to pick up? Nope. Same crap. Only when it reached the desk of "extension ###" - that extension was "not available.... leave the message. Considering the mediocre performance of the software and complete absence or presence of these guys on ANY level I would say - STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

AVOID THIS OUTFIT! They will scam you into wasting your time downloading and trying their trial software, which they claim is fully functional. Only then, after you have invested hours, they'll inform you that you have to pay to fully test it. This is called "bait and switch" and is illegal. Their customer support is a hoax -- all they do is ask for the same information over and over.

I downloaded one of their software packages and it did not work as intended. After getting additional instructions that were almost impossible to understand it still did not work. I asked for my money back several times in accordance with their refund policy and am still waiting. Buyer beware; this Indian based company DOES NOT honor their refund policy. Stay away. Plenty of other honorable software manufacturers out there; use one of them for your software needs.
