Clearpointdirect.com Carole Martin Comments & reviews:BUYER BE WARNED ABOUT CLEARPOINTDIRECT.COM! I ordered cookbooks on August 8 from Clearpointdirect. I quickly received an order confirmation email stating that my credit card had been charged (same day as order was placed) and that I would receive a shipping notification. 6 weeks later, I called to find out the status of my order. I was told that the store had been closed the entire month of August for inventory control (no mention of this at the time I placed my order, and they took my money) and that my order was being shipped that very week. SEVEN weeks later, I still have not received my order, a shipment notification, or a response to my email saying that I needed an immediate resolution in order to avoid giving bad reviews and contacting the BBB. VERY POOR COMPANY: QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY, SLOW TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES, POOR EXCUSES FOR NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH SHIPMENT, AND PRODUCT STILL NOT RECEIVED AFTER SEVEN WEEKS!

I was going to give her the cookbooks as part of her Christmas present. I received an email notice that they were going to ship in December. Here it is January 24th and I haven't received anything. I tried calling but couldn't get through. I replied to the email since it was a person's name and complained but no response. Talk about getting ripped off! I have $49.65 charged to my credit card. I think I will report it on my credit card and dispute it. AND I will NEVER order from this company AGAIN!! I placed an order in December, received a confirmation email and my credit card was charged the same day. It is now February and I have never received the order. I emailed the company and never received a response. I also have tried calling and it took 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone call. The associate that answered the call said the order was shipped Feb. 10th and that I should receive it in 4-12 business days. When I asked why I didn’t receive the confirmation email when it was shipped she said she didn’t know and she could send me an email with my information and that it was shipped today (Feb 18th). I questioned the fact that she originally told me Feb. 10th and she said, “Oh yeah, February 10th.” The person on the phone would not give me her last name and after putting me on hold, said that the supervisor was out sick so I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone else. I still have not received the shipping confirmation email she agreed to send out. I will let everyone know if I do receive this order in the time frame she indicated. If not, I will dispute the charges with the credit card company and file further complaints. I sent an email to Clearpoint Direct on 02/03/09 using the email on the PayPal receipt, as I had not yet received my order. I have not received a response.
I attempted to call Clearpoint Direct on 02/03/09 and 02/05/09 with the number provided on the PayPal receipt. I got a message stating that no one is available (did not take messages).I sent a fax to Clearpoint Direct on 02/05/09 with the fax number provided on the PayPal receipt, stating that I had not received my order and have been unable to reach them.I have not received a response.On 02/06/09 I was able to reach "Christine" on the phone. I was told that the items shipped that day and would arrive in 7 to 10 days. When asked why my items hadn’t been shipped earlier, I was told they were on back order.On 02/18/09 I was able to reach “Christine”, after being on hold for 16 minutes, as I had not yet received my order. I was told that my items shipped on 02/10/09 (not the 6th, as I was previously told), and I would receive them in 5 to 10 days. At this time, I asked for a tracking number. I also asked where my items were shipped from and was told New York. After we spoke, I checked with the United States Postal Service, UPS, and Fed Ex – all of who told me that they do not have a record matching that number.
