If you read this and agree, please e-mail Ken Envoy directly at 'jiso@sitesell.com.' Otherwise the ducks at headquarters filter his mail so well that I'm betting I'm the first in years to break into the Canadian duck house.

SiteSell couldn't be more wrong.

My response: The extraneous information they ask for to transfer a domain name is not easy to come by. And they very well know it. Using their totally inappropriate process is solely designed to punish people for leaving SiteSell. This includes instructions which are designed to fail and delay the process. The approach they take is a business practice that functions as a restraint to fair trade.

I have been a SiteSell affiliate for more than 10 years. Can't say I've been an affiliate of any other program for that long. And I first became an affiliate after buying Make Your Words Sell around 2000 (this ebook is now free).

I'm sure there will be issues with any company or service you buy from (as described above), but still I have no hesitation in recommending SiteSell's affiliate program AND the products they sell to anyone interested in developing a long-term source of revenue.

And my experience of SiteSell's support has always been positive. I also have a healthy online relationship with Erin who runs the SiteSell affiliate program.

Steve

PS I found this site because I link to it on one of my websites (AnyoneCanSellOnline.com), on a page about what to look for in a good affiliate program

Hi Dr. Steve

I regret that you were upset when you wrote this, but the fact is, Ken Evoy DOES care and so does SiteSell customer service. Operating online from remote locations can cause misunderstandings and frustrations at times but that goes for any online company. Your post does not give details of what occurred, so I cannot respond to them specifically. But there is an established protocol that outlines your recourse in the event you have a bad experience with support. It is part of every support email communication you receive and gives exact instructions. If you are interested in resolving your issue, please follow those instructions so we can help you properly. I hope things are better now and wish you success in the future!

Hi Theresia,

It is apparent that you are upset with your situation. As I told you previously on two other websites, you are dealing with an independent individual, not SiteSell. It would not be cost effective (or proper) for SiteSell to intervene in 3rd party situations. It would be a losing battle. We do, however, offer official SiteSell Services, for which we offer a warranty. As far as the zip file provided being useless, there are things you must do with that file and those instructions are provided when you transfer your site. But I'm hoping things have resolved since this post and you are now experiencing the success you seek!

Don't get caught up in the Sitesell Scam. We got sucked in by someone who was trying to make money through sitesell with no interest in serviceing her customer i.e. us! Sitesell provided no support with our problems and we have been 5 months in this neverending nightmare. They charged us an additional $100 for a zip file of our website when we cancelled...it was useless! And, the promised refund of 100%... not really and after 5 weeks.... no refund!

I just found this thread/post and wanted to give my two cents on SiteSell. I've been a customer for four years and find the company to be highly ethical. They deliver what they promise and are very honest. My site is in the top search results of the search engines, so it really works.
